[ Ange never really feels the need to broadcast anything over the journals, as anti-social as she is and all. But today she's perhaps feeling a bit more bored or a bit more annoyed than usual, probably because of some recent arrivals. So she has actually taken the effort to speak up for once now, her voice as flat and deadpan as it always is. ]

So, people here.. how much longer are you planning on wasting your time here? Don't get me wrong, it's not like I have found any way out either, but I doubt spending our time here with parties and all sorts of similar ridiculous things is going to help us in any way. Don't tell me all of you have grown so used to this place that you're just complacent with the situation as it is now.

I definitely have no plans of sticking around here if I'd be given the choice. I have better things to do than wasting my time around here.. unlike some other people, apparently. [ a very slight sigh. ]

So I guess in the end it comes down to this.. do any of you honestly want to stick around in this bothersome place and party your days away? I suppose I'm actually a little genuinely curious.

On a different note.. if anyone has advice for avoiding certain people, I'd like to hear it.

I never consider any two people to be the same. Similar, but everyone is different. It just seems like your issue extends beyond "not liking parties".

Oh, I do. I can't tell you a lot about it because of confidentiality issues, but people have sought me out.

Well, I guess it at least give you something useful and probably somewhat interesting to do in a place like this. And it helps other people too.

See, being useful in a place like this can be achieved in a lot of different ways. I counsel people and others have parties. Have you done anything like that yet? Not to be rude, but you don't have much of a right to criticize people if you haven't done anything yourself.

Don't worry, I know I'm at least being a little of a hypocrite. But at least I haven't given up on finding a way out of here yet, like most people have who just grew complacent and started going to parties and all that.

Is being complacent really so bad? You can't judge on personality, but on context. You're making an error in attribution.

Yeah, it's really that bad. I don't see how anyone could be satisfied with staying in this place. We're practically little more than lab rats, right? I hate it.

What if the lab rats broke free, but some choose to stay in the cage? Not everyone can leave it as freely as the others.

I would say no. But, who are we to judge? Some people want to live, more than anything. Death is unknown and frightening.

I guess that's just a mindset I can't understand then. I'd rather be dead than having to keep suffering through things like this. [ She did jump from a skyscraper back home, after all.. ]
