[ Ange's sleeping quite soundly, actually. She isn't really concerned with everything that's going on one way or another - not that she's actively pushing away the Kin'corans, but she isn't particularly wanting to make friends with them either-- but that's more just because she's antisocial in general rather than having something against them. After all, she speaks normally to the one Minato brought into the house and if another one says something to her she'll answer.. it's just that she sort of keeps some polite distance as she does with most people. But the presence of one in the house is the least of her concerns right now, really.. which is why she's sleeping there so peacefully and calmly, unlike how Keiichi is feeling.

And it's why she just sleeps normally until it's early in the morning when she slowly starts to wake up. Ange slowly stirs under her blanket, softly groaning as she stretches, slowly opening her eyes to the light..

.. Wait, there's something in her room. She shoots up in her bed, as if she's ready to tackle whatever it is, but then seconds later she notices it's just Keiichi sitting there. Even if it's a little strange to find him there, staring like that, she does calm down a lot at that. (And she bothers to (subtly) quickly pull up her blankets while she's sitting there so her bottom half is at least covered by them.) ]

Keiichi? Seriously, you gave me a scare.. [ she sighs, rubbing her eyes as she's still waking up. ] .. Is something wrong?

[Is it morning already? He vaguely notices the increase of light, too focused on her and her breathing to really notice anything else. Repeating to himself that she's safe and fine, still breathing, constantly breathing, sleeping peaceful and without pain or nightmares. She's fine. His Ange is fine and the house is still silent. Minato is fine as well. The girl Minato brought hasn't gone out of her room. Everything is fine. Everyone is safe. He only realizes that it's morning when she starts to stir, the night is gone, it's time for a new day. They made it, tonight was safe again, at least at home, who knows what could have happened outside. Outside is still dangerous, but he will worry about that later.

He keeps watching her as she stirs and starts to wake up, he doesn't even flinch when she suddenly shoots up in her bed, it just makes him smile in relief. She's fine and lively and energetic. Nothing bad happened tonight, she's safe.]

Good morning... I just wanted to make sure you were sleeping well.

[Sit there and keep watch, protecting her like he promised, even if she hasn't needed him protecting her this night. But the day is just starting and there will be another night soon.]

[ His reason actually makes it less weird, because it's just such a.. well, a Keiichi thing to do. Utterly ridiculous yet sweet in its own way since she doesn't quite realise the paranoia that originally was lying behind it. Instead she shakes her head lightly in an 'oh you' sort of way. ]

How long were you even sitting there? I'm almost surprised you didn't just crawl right into the bed. [ It's a deadpan joke. ... Probably. ] But.. yeah, good morning to you too.

I didn't keep track of the time.

[Since late at night, several hours for sure, but she doesn't need to know, she doesn't have to know. He doesn't want her to worry, he will do the worry for them both. And she's safe and talking, he just has to concentrate in that.]

I wouldn't mind crawling into the bed with you, but this isn't my room yet. And if I fell asleep I wouldn't be able to watch you sleep or wake up.

[She's just so beautiful no matter what she's doing. Who needs stupid shoots with those damned needles when he has Ange. Ange is his medicine, everything is fine when she's there and all he has to worry is about keeping her with him and safe.]

You're so silly, Keiichi, doing something like this out of nowhere.. [ But that's exactly what she likes about him, honestly - for all the deadpan remarks she makes about his corniness, she actually fell for that corniness big time.

She moves one hand towards him, trying to find his hand under the blankets he covered himself with. ]

I'd rather have you being able to sleep comfortably at night too rather than you having to sit there like that, you know.

I was comfortable, you know. Enjoying a great view too.

[He moves his hand to meet hers, holding it softly for a second before he pulls it up to kiss it and hold her hand against his face. Warm and soft. She's safe, she's safe. The mantra doesn't stop in his head, he's just so relieved to see her being fine.]

You would tell me you're comfortable even if you were sitting on spikes as long as you'd be around me, I bet.

[ She knows the way you operate, okay, Keiichi. :| So that's a deadpan remark, but at the same time she can't help but let her face light up just very slightly at the affection. ]

I may be sitting on spikes already, you know... My legs have gone numb since a long while ago.

[He smiles and laughs a bit, it's a tired smile and an exhausted laugh but seeing how he has been up for hours it's not that surprising, is it?]

[ Yeah, that laugh makes it sound to her like he's been sitting there for quite some time.. especially combined with the numb legs comment. And all that for her? He can be so over the top sometimes, seriously.

Ange starts tugging her hand back a little while he's still holding it, probably with enough force (especially when he's exhausted already) to make him flop over onto her bed. ]

If you're going to say something like that, you'll just make me tell you that you need to sleep a little on an actual bed. So here you go.

[That hand is his now until he decides to lend it to you, you know, so he doesn't let go when she tugs. It's not difficult to have him flopping onto the bed with a surprised sound, what with the numb legs and not letting go of her hand. He doesn't complain though, quickly shifting to be a bit more comfortable before smiling at her.]

What about you? It's still early to get up and leave.

[Just teasing, he doubts she will stay and he will follow her when she leaves.]

[ For a moment it looks like she hesitates, but then she settles on; ]

Maybe a little longer is fine. [ The hesitation was just tsun, because.. really, she doesn't mind staying here with him for a little bit more. It's true that it really is still pretty early, and she's feeling a little lazy like this either way. Not that she plans on sleeping, but just sitting here with him doesn't sound too bad.. ]

Besides, it's a change of guard. [ Not that she takes this quite as seriously as Keiichi does, to her it's all just one big teasing joke. ] I'll watch you now for a bit. Payback.

If you're going to keep guard you should guard my dreams, who knows what may lurk in there if I go to sleep.

[Let's not mind the arm that sneaks around her waist to pull her closer as he shifts towards her a bit more.]

[ She won't mind it right now since it's him, okay. And since she does feel either a little guilty or responsible that he's been sitting here all night getting numb legs because of some weird idea he got about watching her, even if she obviously couldn't have helped it. ]

You want to be together even in dreams? That might be asking reality for a little bit too much.

[He smiles and sighs in relief as he presses closer. She's safe and in his arms, unhurt, happy even and still in love with him, isn't she? Everything is right, everything is fine. Is it safe to really sleep a bit now? It's morning but danger doesn't need darkness to lure around or attack, does it? But it feels safe there, close to her, see if he's this close even if they want to take her they will have to get through him first all the same. That's fine. Yes, maybe sleeping a bit won't be a bad idea, he closes his eyes slowly but keeps talking to her.]

Together even in dreams. Together even outside of this world. Together even beyond life and time. It may be asking for too much, but so it was to want to save Rika-chan's life, being with you in dreams won't be that difficult if I really want it. And I do.

[He shifts again, blindly leaning for a kiss wherever it may land, her nose, her cheek, her lips, her hand, it doesn't matter to him as long as it's her.]

[ Ange doesn't particularly feel sleepy since she's actually been sleeping all night unlike him, but she definitely wants him to make up for the sleep he's missed, so.. she doesn't mind lying here with him awake while he's asleep, it's nice and comfortable and it's not like she has more important things to do this morning. Just having his warmth this close to her.. she wants to treasure that feeling for as long as she can, experience it as much as she can - a feeling she's hardly felt before in her life. ]

If it's you, I'm sure you can do it. [ And she does mean it, despite it being said half-jokingly in her own way.. Keiichi is stubborn and determined more than anyone, after all, and no doubt he'd fight for it.. ]

.. Now go sleep, okay? I'll be here.

[ Because someone needs to make sure Minato doesn't find Keiichi's bed empty and goes to check up on Ange and then notice they're on her bed together, okay. One of them needs to be awake in this bed and reassure him they didn't do anything it might seem like, they're still clothed!! ]

[He hums, a satisfied sound, almost like a purring one.]

Of course, I will. I will reach 1998 and then go find you and give you the biggest hug in your life. And never ever let you go or let you want to leave.

[Bernkastel be damned, let her sit and seethe as she sees Ange getting happiness rather than chasing the illusion of a miracle.]

I'll show you what a real miracle is.

[His voice lowers and lowers until it's mostly a mumble as he finally gives in to sleep. Content, satisfied, safe. There's no need to worry now, there's no reason to fear or mistrust the world around him because he's in his own world with Ange. But there was never a reason to mistrust the world even when he wasn't with Ange, was there? The thought is faint and weak, right before he falls asleep. Why does it itch?

For now, Keiichi finally sleeps, like a baby and like someone who hasn't slept much in a long while, which he hasn't, this is just the first night he actually left his room rather than lay in his bed and under his covers wide awake. He doesn't mind who may come and find them, if it's Minato he will probably be disappointed that they are just getting this fat anyway.]

[ She's just glad that he's asleep by now, really. She still isn't sure just how long exactly he's been sitting there, but.. probably enough that he needs some extra sleep now to make up for it. Geez, he seriously does need people to look after him like this every once in a while or he'll get himself hurt with his idiotic corny actions like this. (You don't know half how bad it is right now, Ange..)

But it's okay, since she can watch over him now for a bit. And he's pretty cute when he's sleeping, he looks so peaceful and a tiny smile appears on her face as she looks at his sleeping face in turn. It's a good thing Ange is patient, either way, even if she's not tired she can just lie here for a bit next to him as he sleeps, she doesn't mind. ]
