[ ... It's strange. When Ange comes back from the mission she went on to get Battler's departure of her mind, she decides to visit her mother first, just quickly - just to make sure she's okay now, although she doesn't doubt it, Kyrie's pretty strong, after all.. but instead the house just seems really quiet, and no matter where she looks in it, it's like there's nobody there. She can already guess what it means, which is why she soundlessly drops on the floor with a near empty-looking expression as she opens the journal and tries to contact her mother that way. ... Still.. nothing.

No way. No way-- first Battler left, and now her mother did too, and neither times was she even allowed to say goodbye? Silently she shakes her head to herself, but instead Ange notices that she's already start crying. It's unfair, too unfair-- losing her family at the start of October twice by now..

It takes a long time before she even stops crying. But even then she doesn't move from where she's sitting, she completely lacks the power and will to do so. She doesn't even feel like going home anymore, even if that's only right next door to the house she's in right now. She just...
... After what seems like an eternity it still takes way too much effort to make herself open the journal, writing in it with shaky fingers, the words empty and meaningless. ]

For those that hadn't noticed yet, Battler Ushiromiya left Luceti a little while ago.

As of this morning, Kyrie Ushiromiya is gone as well.

[ Mundane conversation - just try to carry that on, Ange. It makes it feel less like something's wrong, right? Maybe just for a moment she can forget that half her world just crumbled away underneath her feet..

She's still hiding her face against her knees though. ]

The moon was just for fun when it was going to crush us here. I figured that was pretty much a once in a lifetime opportunity there.

.. Ah. [ The answer sounds a little lifeless, but apparently she's at least regaining her capability to have a normal conversation going on, as lifeless as it is. ]

I remember that.. last Halloween, right? It kept coming closer..

Aye, that was when.

Were you among those in the bunker then?

No, back then, I.. I was.. different. [ Even if she's regressed to that a little now, huh? But that's supposed to only be temporary - or at least, she thinks so, she doesn't plan on staying like this if she can help it.. ]

I didn't have the will to live either way, so I didn't feel the need to hide away when it came closer. I thought I should at least face it.

You shouldn't give up on living Ange. [He has a lot more thoughts on that, but for now he saves it to make sure she doesn't go back to that thinking.]

But I understand the desire to face it. Hiding just never was my style either.

[ It's okay, she's mostly abandoned it by now. She has her boyfriend, after all, no way she could leave him behind. And her friends too.. ]

The next morning I got a present for my bravery in the form of my boyfriend sleeping on my couch. .. Well, he wasn't my boyfriend back then, but.. [ a small and weak shrug. ] It was a funny coincidence.

Maybe it was a good sign, eh?

[Runs a hand through his hair.] When my Pops died, when my brother died, the last thing my Pops was saying was that Ace's will would carry on in the form of someone stepping up to challenge the government, to challenge the world.

[A small grin.] It's not a boyfriend, but it was a strange sort of hope, if you will.

Nothing and no one can take their place, but sometimes the things they wanted for the future carry on anyway. [Unspoken, but heavily implied: "Like you finding happiness."]

You say strangely deep things every once in a while. [ But there's a very faint smile on her face, she means it well, really, it's just her usual deadpan covering up the gratitude she feels behind it. Her eyes are even very faintly watery, even if no tears fall. ]

It's because I'm always thinking them, but behind this pineapple face and all the sparkles, no one can tell.

[No worries Ange, Marco obviously understands this deadpan thing, as despite his obviously joking words right back, he's also completely deadpan. And you know sparkling. For the added lulz.]

[He's grinning either way though, because she might be the only one who doesn't see it, but he still appreciates that yo.]

.. Ah, I guess it makes sense. If telling the truth is kind nowadays, then it makes sense for there to be both very few honest people and very few kind people. [ just deadpan-tsunning her way out of accepting a compliment, okay.. ]
