[ ... It's strange. When Ange comes back from the mission she went on to get Battler's departure of her mind, she decides to visit her mother first, just quickly - just to make sure she's okay now, although she doesn't doubt it, Kyrie's pretty strong, after all.. but instead the house just seems really quiet, and no matter where she looks in it, it's like there's nobody there. She can already guess what it means, which is why she soundlessly drops on the floor with a near empty-looking expression as she opens the journal and tries to contact her mother that way. ... Still.. nothing.

No way. No way-- first Battler left, and now her mother did too, and neither times was she even allowed to say goodbye? Silently she shakes her head to herself, but instead Ange notices that she's already start crying. It's unfair, too unfair-- losing her family at the start of October twice by now..

It takes a long time before she even stops crying. But even then she doesn't move from where she's sitting, she completely lacks the power and will to do so. She doesn't even feel like going home anymore, even if that's only right next door to the house she's in right now. She just...
... After what seems like an eternity it still takes way too much effort to make herself open the journal, writing in it with shaky fingers, the words empty and meaningless. ]

For those that hadn't noticed yet, Battler Ushiromiya left Luceti a little while ago.

As of this morning, Kyrie Ushiromiya is gone as well.

[ It takes a while before any answer appears on the journal. It's mostly since.. she's staring at nothing and thinking about what he's saying, really. She knows he's right, she still has stuff here to go on for, and she didn't have her family back home either to begin with, but.. it just still hurts to have the chance to be with them stolen from her once again. 'That means we still care and are alive'.. Many times she's wished to die. Last time Battler left, she wished to die more than anything, she realises it the more she thinks about it. But this time she isn't thinking that, right? Instead she's sitting here, gripping her journal until her knuckles turn white from it..

Because it's what being alive and caring means. Caring about the people she's met here, her boyfriend, her current and previous housemates, even someone who's talking to her now, trying to help her and calling her a friend..

Isn't that already more than she could've counted on in the first place? ]

I'm sorry.

I'm [ another pause before she writes on-- ] acting like a child, aren't I?

I guess you're acting like you might expect someone in your position to act. I don't blame you.

But come back to us. When you're ready. We'll be here.

[ Forgive her, Kyon, it's just that.. well, she hasn't heard that many times before, so it's surprising to her - especially in this state. ]

Are you? Of course.

[ .. Geez, what is she supposed to say to that? It makes her a little glad to know that even now, but it's difficult to try to reach out to that feeling in the middle of the emptiness. ]

It might take a while.

Well, that's what waiting is for, Ange.

And maybe having people around can help speed it up, too. Only if you want though.

I don't think I'd be very interesting company right about now though. [ Apparently some part of her is at least self-aware and conscious enough to follow-- ] .. Not implying I usually am.

Well, that wouldn't be the point of hanging out right now. It's just if you want to.

...N-No. I'm not really that smart to make complicated jokes, Ange. I'm sorry if it sounds bad.

I guess I'm just [ .. it's even more difficult when she already feels bad, but.. her weakness is slipping through either way, isn't it? ] not really used to hearing it.

You and I might not say the literal truth out loud all the time ['Or ever!'], but... that's what it is. You're actually a pretty fun person to be around. I like talking with you and being sarcastic with you.

And you'd give up your shoes for me. That's pretty nice.

I'd give up more than just my shoes.

[ It's just a stupid detail that first stands out to her, and she writes it before she even really realises it. In fact, she has to stare at the words on the paper for a little bit.. ... yup, those.. sure are there.. huh.. ]

Give it a little bit more time and I could practically win the whole wardrobe, huh? [ it's already getting a little bit closer to her usual deadpan - even if it's.. more open and well-meant right now, she's trying to recover. ]

Well, I'd appreciate it if you'd at least leave some pants, though.

I'll try to be gracious and save the village from having to see your underwear the entire time.

[ there's a small pause, but the hum at the end of it is well-meant, despite it still being sort of soft and tiny - apparently she's even switched to voice by now. ]

[ There's a slight pause, almost a little awkwardly, but.. by now she can at least say it directly, right? ]

I'm not sure what it's going to look like if you end up sitting in a tea shop together with a depressed girl, but.. if you don't mind the damage to your reputation, I guess.

Oh, well... My reputation is probably already shot. If it's you, it probably won't be so bad, actually.
